​Between Sun and Rain

This collection was produced in China.

 

We understand that many places around the world are still not openly supportive of the LGBTQ+ community.

At the same time, we do not believe a government can fully represent the lives, identities, or emotions of individuals.

 

In many societies, laws and public attitudes often move more slowly than reality itself.

 

There are LGBTQ+ individuals living beneath the surface of everyday life.

 

They may be:

a production worker on a factory line,

a customer service voice on the phone,

or the person sealing a package before it leaves the warehouse.

 

For those who have learned to hide, visibility can be encouraging.

For those who are unfamiliar, exposure can open the possibility of understanding.

And for those who still resist, it offers a glimpse into a reality  where this, too, is part of ordinary life.

 

We believe openness often begins with exposure.

 

And perhaps one day, after enough sun and rain, people will simply see the rainbow for what it is.
